Imperial Las Perlas is a comfortable beachfront hotel. It has 6 separate buildings, each with 3 floors, that surround a freshwater swimming pool. The front of the hotel is on Kukulcan Boulevard, the main street of the hotel zone. The hotel is on a white sand Caribbean beach, with tranquil water, that is perfect for swimming and water sports.

Imperial Las Perlas Cancun, the first hotel reached in the Hotel Zone from downtown, is located on Isla Cancun, a quarter-mile-wide stretch of sandbar that extends east from mainland Cancun into the Caribbean Sea, then south for a total distance of 15 miles. Six staggered, three- and four-story buildings (no elevators) face the ocean and surround a freshwater pool at this 118-room beachfront hotel. All of the studio suites come with balconies, and most have views of water, be it the pool or the Caribbean. Brightly colored bedspreads and draperies in tropical hues complement light-finish wood furniture and marble floors. Rooms are available on the European Plan, which includes accommodations only (no meals).
