IMax theater at the Luxor

Review: The first of its kind to open in Las Vegas, the Luxor IMAX Theatre features a 7-story screen as well as 30,000 watts of sound distributed across six sets of speakers throughout the theater.

'Spider-Man 2': In this exciting sequel, audiences once again follow the life of the mild-mannered Peter Parker as he faces new challenges. Trying to balance his dual identities as both a superhero and that of a college student, Parker also struggles with "the gift and the curse." Tormented by his secrets, Peter finds that his relationships with those close to him have become strained.

In "Spider-Man 2," the web-slinging superhero encounters a new nemesis, the villainous Dr. Otto Octavius, "Doc Ock."

'Haunted Castle 3D': Johnny, a young musician, discovers there is more than meets the eye when he inherits a mysterious new home from his deceased mother.

An otherworldly presence in the house makes itself known in the forms of eerie spooks and materializing spirits. After some investigation, Johnny receives a message from beyond the grave. An apparition of his disembodied mother warns Johnny of an evil presence lurking within the house.

Johnny is led to the castle's foreboding sanctuary of terror, where he comes face to face with Mephisto and Mr. D, the custodians of evil. Audience members will feel a part of the experience as they watch Johnny try to escape the house with his life.

'Everest': Just days after fellow mountaineers and friends died there, a team of climbers successfully climbed Mount Everest. A true story, "Everest" takes audiences across icefalls and gaping chasms, up steep cliffs and through a dangerous rescue. In a compelling story about the human spirit, Mount Everest is depicted as a mountain that is loved, respected and sometimes feared.

"Everest" takes audiences on a journey filled with the peril and breathtaking beauty as well as the technical and physical challenges faced by those who dare to reach for the highest point on the planet.

'Fighter Pilot': "Fighter Pilot" follows young American fighter pilot John "Otter" Stratton as he makes his way through "Red Flag." Held at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, "Red Flag" is an international training exercise that brings together hundreds of pilots from the air forces of allied countries. The exercise is the final tune-up training for pilots and their crews before being sent into actual combat and comprises two weeks of training that is as intense and demanding as actual combat.
