Vegas Entertainment Tour
COED REVIEW:
When all the other hotels decided to become more
family oriented the Tropicana did the opposite.
With the Comedy Stop and exotic dance routine
of the Folies Bergere, the Tropicana caters to
the grown and sexy!
The Tropicana, one of Vegas' classic hotels, offers
tropical landscaping, the "Folies Bergere"
with its famous showgirls and a beautiful pool
with Vegas' first swim-up blackjack table.
"I hear the hotel Tropicana is quite comfortable,"
Sean Connery said jauntily, in the 1971 James
Bond film "Diamonds Are Forever." More
than 25 years later, the Tropicana is still one
of Las Vegas' brightest stars, with its relaxed,
confident air.
This is one of the few hotel/casinos that didn't
elect to chase the family market, and in the absence
of thrill rides and cartoon characters, adult diversions
are blooming like never before: The lushly appointed
casino and lounges, world class entertainment including
the Comedy Stop routinely featuring new comedians,
Las Vegas' longest-running production show, the lascivious
Folies Bergere and The Magic of Rick Thomas in the
Tiffany Theatre. Other amenities include a gourmet
champagne brunch and the crowning touch, the swim-up
blackjack table, offered from Memorial Day to Labor
Day.
Zumanity
Cirque
du Soleil raises the bar once again, this time for
"Zumanity," the Montreal-based theater company's
first-ever R-rated production. The creator of Las
Vegas theatrical greats "Mystère" and "O,"
has opened Pandora's box, releasing a multitude of
visually stimulated emotions rising from the carnal
desires in human nature. "Zumanity," a merging
of the words "zoo" and "humanity,"
uses the stage as a vessel to incite titillating emotions
to arouse passion and desire swelling from our innermost
sanctum.
Toss out any inhibitions before entering the lavish,
velvet-swept, 1,256-seat theater inside New York-New
York. Soft light throughout the theater sensuallycaresses
the guests who lose themselves in the erotic surroundings.
The "Zumanity" troupe of dancers, musicians
and acrobats intertwine a mélange of international
artists. Understandably, a spicy mix of Latin and
French, both known for being great lovers, have joined
together for a diverse mixture of ethnicity and intense
personalities.

IMax theater at the Luxor
Review:
The first of its kind to open in Las Vegas, the Luxor
IMAX Theatre features a 7-story screen as well as 30,000
watts of sound distributed across six sets of speakers
throughout the theater.
'Spider-Man 2': In this
exciting sequel, audiences once again follow the life
of the mild-mannered Peter Parker as he faces new challenges.
Trying to balance his dual identities as both a superhero
and that of a college student, Parker also struggles
with "the gift and the curse." Tormented by
his secrets, Peter finds that his relationships with
those close to him have become strained.
In "Spider-Man 2," the web-slinging superheroencounters
a new nemesis, the villainous Dr. Otto Octavius, "Doc
Ock."
